Overnight: The Manor, Kigali/The Retreat/Hotel De Milles
Meals: Bed & Breakfast
Have breakfast then checkout of the hotel and head out to Nyungwe. You will visit the Ethnographic Museum that will give you history of traditional ways of living among Rwandans and their past way of leadership. Later drive further, check in at the lodge and have lunch before heading for a canopy walk. This 90 meters suspended metallic bridge will give you a great view of Nyungwe forest and on a lucky day one can spot one or two primates.
Overnight: Mantis Kivu Marina Bay/Nyungwe Top View Hotel/Emeraude Kivu Resort
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
After early breakfast, you will be transferred to park’s headquarters for a briefing and chimpanzee trekking/tracking. Nyungwe is well known for having 13 species of primates. You will be entitled to one hour on finding the chimpanzees. After doing the chimpanzee trek, you will head for lunch, and thereafter a transfer to Gisenyi to arrive by late afternoon.

After breakfast, you will take a boat ride to explore the beautiful attractions within Lake Kivu. You have a nature walk at one of the islands within this lake which is known for harboring thousands of bats. You will later return for lunch and drive off to Musanze which is roughly 2 hours away; a tourism area near Volcanoes National Park, where most of the lodges are located since there are no lodges inside of the park. You will have Iby Iwacu cultural experience, where you will get total Rwanda cultural insight, before check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Overnight: Ingagi Park View/Five Volcanoes/The Bishop House/Virunga/Sabyinyo
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 7:00 am with a pre-tracking briefing from the Rwanda park officials. This trek is a guided one and it takes 2 – 6 hours depending on where the group assigned is at that particular day but meeting them is guaranteed.
In the afternoon, you can either relax by the lodge or have massage at an extra fee.
What to carry/wear – rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots, packed lunch, walking stick.
After this gorilla tracking experience, you will return to your lodge for lunch to relax.
Overnight: Ingagi Park View/Five Volcanoes/The Bishop House/Virunga/Sabyinyo
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
On this day, have breakfast then transfer to the park’s headquarters for a briefing and start off your golden monkey trekking.
